Quill L. Boyle

“I care about climate change because it especially affects people who are marginalized and affects everyone whether they realize it yet or not. It is my hope that we have a future where we don’t have to worry about impending doom- I want everyone to have equitable access to the right to a healthy and safe environment.”

Quill has been making change with Communitopia since the summer of 2020. They initially joined the Get Out The Vote Leadership Team in August of 2020 to learn about how to educate voters on PA voting procedures and how to seek out climate-friendly candidates on the ballot. Since then, Quill has been a regular participant in Pittsburgh Youth For Climate Action (PYCA). Through their work with Communitopia, they have learned about new ways to fight climate change and become acquainted with other youth activists that share their passion for climate action. Quill has learned leadership skills such as event organizing, goal setting, and virtual presentation creation and facilitation. When not working on climate action, Quill is also involved with Girl Scouts of Southwestern PA.
